Intersex Advocate Trust Zimbabwe (IAZ) is an intersex-led organization established in 2016 and legally registered with the government of Zimbabwe in 2020 as Trust. The organisation is governed by a hybrid Board of Trustees composed of six members (professionals, intersex community and allies) who are responsible for providing policy and strategic direction. The organisation’s core business are: to champion the rights of intersex persons, raise awareness and recognition on intersex issues and rights, lobby and advocate for inclusion as well as an end to genital mutilation.
